JOIN THE CLUB

Club meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at 7PM at the AERO Club located at 3333 Roger E Schupp St. LOUISVILLE KY 40205. NOTE!! Check Club calendar for changes!!

To join the RCRCKY Club first join the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). Find out more about AMA memberships at

YOU MUST BE A MEMBER OF AMA BEFORE JOINING RCRC

After you have joined AMA, please download the RCRCKY PFD application here.

​

​

You must mail a new membership application every year. The park requires us to have it on file.

​

NOTE!! If you pay by PayPal, you may use Adobe reader to fill in the application, electronically sign it and email it to RCRCKY@GMAIL.COM

​

Once the application has been completed, mail it to the address listed on the bottom front of the application. Existing members will receive a membership decal that you will put on your AMA card - that will be your ID to wear when at the field. 

​

New members are required to attend an orientaion session with a designated club member. The purpose of this meeting is not to teach you how to fly but rather to ensure that you understand the AMA and Club rules. This is also a one-on-one  opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

To create or renew your FAA ID

  1. Go to faadronezone-access.faa.gov/#/

  2. Click (Create Account) or Change Password

  3. Fill Out Page and then click Verify 

  4. Log Back in.

  5. Click “Add a Service”

  6. Choose/Click “Drone Owners & Pilots”

  7. Click “Add Service”

  8. Launch Drone Owners & Pilots Dashboard

  9. Under UAS Operator: Account Types

  10. Click- Set Up Recreational Flyer Account

  11. Fill in form. 

12 Check Out.

Print FAA ID to carry when flying and email your ID and Expiration date to  RCRCKY@gmail.com
